Since we are talking about tuba stuff, I have a question. I am a recently converted trombone player as our community band needed a tuba player. I have an old E-flat Conn and love to play it as it is small and has a nice sound. I play in a community concert band and a community brass band. For this kind of playing (plus I like to play in small ensembles) do I really need to get a large BBflat instrument and go through the hassle of lugging it around or is the Eflat adequate? p.s. I am a mature guy and not all that strong. Comments will be appreciated.
