Its harder to focus as I age, but the wanta be is much more now than when I was younger. What I do is try to trick myself when I am learning a difficult part. I take one or two measures that seem impossiable, and play them backwards slowly then for some reason my fingers seem to fall in to place and I don't seem to have to concentrate so much. I think my submind remembers what note comes next but im not a head shrink by any means, but it works for me and I have tried it out on my students ,and it seems to help in that impossiable song;;;;;;;;;; ROB BASS
