I had the pleasure of playing a Cerveny oval euph at brookmay's new Tubastore yesterday, and I must say I VERY impressed. GREAT intonation, short action valves, great responce. I wish I had played it in a large, quiet room so I could listed for a "concert" sound, but I thought it sounded very nice. I had a problem with holding the horn, it seemed a little off-center, weight-wise. I am talking to Charlie about ordering a tradional wrap one in silver. It was good enough to make me think about selling my 1957 Besson. It was that good. I have bashed Cerveny for every tuba they have made for the last ten years, but that euphonium really opened my eyes (and dropped my jaw)
