I am always surprised when this question comes up (not that there are dents but how to remove them). Your band should own a reaming tool (less then $20 from the Brass Wind).
That is all it takes. But if you don't have one, take a 3/8 or 1/2" center punch and
TAP it in to the end, being as aligned as you can possibly be, with a LIGHT raw hide mallet. The safest way, though is with the reaming tool. Be careful not to split the
ends of the shank. If you do split them, see a cartridge reloader for a case trimmer to
remove the split portion.
