There are two advantages I can see of getting an F tuba over an Eb. First, most new solo music, if it is written for a specific keyed tuba at all, will be written for F (that doesn't mean you can't play it on Eb, as I'm sure you know). Also, F tubas in general are quicker to respond and have a better high range (although ken k is right, this lies almost as much with the individual tuba as with the key). I can also see some teachers (though I don't know of any specifically) who would strongly encourage you to get an F over an Eb, just like many will strongly encourage you to get a CC over BBb. Basically it comes down to personal preference, though. I personally prefer Eb tubas over F's, but that's me. Each person is different.
