As far as I can tell, there IS no difference. The difference is in the CONSTRUCTION of the instruments. You can't really compare a B&S F, to a Besson Eb, because of the difference in construction. Nor, can you compare the Yamaha Eb's, to their F's for the same reason. What I ALWAYS recommend to instrument buyers is 'buy the horn that sounds like YOU want to sound.' One consideration for me is the way the horn POINTS. I can't play an instruments that points INTO the otchestra. MOST Eb's are built that way. Tony Clements
