Find a tapered piece of steel like a center punch that is slightly smaller than the tapered back bore of your mouthpiece. Clamp it in a vise with the small end pointing out toward you. Place the end of the mouthpiece stem over the tapered piece of steel and push down so the stem is in firm contact with the steel. Use a hammer (light, with polished face) and GENTLY barely tap the side of the stem. Rotate the mouthpiece as you gently tap. Don't try to take out the dent in one pass. You should have to go around the stem up to ten times. Take your time and be sure you are holding the stem down tightly on the tapered steel. I have done a dozen mouthpieces this way, any I don't think you can tell they have ever been dented.
