Need a Tuba Technician in NE Ohio

Hi folks.

I'm purchasing a compact York BBb Tuba that will need some reconstruction and a new main tuning slide section. The original one was low pitch & was later hacked off to only 1-1/2" long. It still plays 30 cents flat. Severe dent removal may help this a little bit. And yes, that York 'sound' is in there!

I would like to find a brass whiz who really knows their tubas in Northeast Ohio if possible. I want a well-informed evaluation before I 'fix' anything.

I have heard of Chuck Ward (Chardon?) and Pete LeVictor (Akron). Anyone have experience with these gentlemen on a project like this? Where do Tucker Jolly & Gary Adams get their horns worked on?

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Mark "finally got a York I can afford" in Ohio
