I know.. I know.. the tuba is not a transposing instrument. However, I would like to know if anyone knows of a referrence aid that can be used to transpose from E alto sax to C melody sax for instance. Or maybe from C flute to B clarinet. How far does one move up or down. Are there general rules and guidelines that can be used by a novice?
