Doesn't it seem obvious though that some instruments are just plain junky? Have you ever picked up an Amati? How about a St. Petersburg? Don't tell me there isn't a sound difference between a york CC and a PT-6, even w/ the same player. Some people don't like the sound of some horns...Perhaps those posters DON'T like that sound. OR maybe the intonation is shady on it. You do need to strive to be a musician, but at the same time, get equipment that is going to help you to your goal rather than hinder you.
