You might also want to take a look at the St.Petersburgh BBb tuba.
I have personally tried one before ,it is lightweight , produces a easy resonant sound,
with little effort. I have a friend he studies tuba in St.Petersburgh now and he told me this is the standard tuba they use for everything .
If you do get one , make sure they put German valves on it coz the original valves really suck,
