I know the temptation to give advice must be overwhelming, but you might want a few more miles on the odometer before you are so free with it. There are lots of folks, including pros who earn their keep, using the Yamaha instruments you call "trash."
Yamaha instruments are not trash. They are most effective for some players. Others don't like them. It's a big world and everyone can have their opinion, but when you use your opinion to give advice to someone who knows even less than you, without qualifying your basis for that point of view, then you are leading them astray.
