In the meantime many student and professional tubists here in Olde Germany have tested
the new Fafner BBb, and quite a lot of them have already ordered respectively purchased
one.We´re actually starting to have a problem because many colleagues want to sell their
fine used Rudi5/4s, Willson Kurath, B&S, Hirsbrunner or other "formerly desirable" BBb-tubas...The used tuba market is full of nice large BBb horns around 4000.- to 5000.-$.
A completely new situation nobody had expected just a few months ago...For example
there is an old Alex 5/4 , 4rotors , 2nd valve trigger ,recently overhauled and new
lacquer standing at a dealer in Gütersloh waiting for someone interested!
