That satin finish holds alot of polish spoils. I had the same problem with my newly polished old satin York. Keep up the wiping with windex and no more silver polish! Get some thick cotton gloves (looks like polishing gloves but without the polish} look for them at the A&P. Lay a towel on your lap and wear the gloves while practicing. Now, this looks dumb so put a piece of paper over the window in the door of the practice room. That black will be gone in a week or two. My satin finish seems to be very trouble free. I really liked the 56j I played at FMEA. You got a great looking horn that plays very well!
