You should try what Mark suggested. I too use Selmer's Slide & Cork grease on my main slide, but I don't have a trigger. That pink stuff by itself would be too stiff, but thinning it out some with valve oil would probably work.

When you let go of the spring loaded trigger does the slide go all the way home or only to a stop of some kind that you set for main tuning?
