I use the device to make sure I am getting enough volume when I play. I tend to have a "not big enough" sound, and this device has helped me to develop that a little more.
I use mine simultaneously with a tuner, using the Jacobs arpeggio study. The object would be to keep the needle on or above zero, and stay in tune as well. It's quite a challenge, but has helped my sound quite a bit. If I stick to routine, I try to do it once daily.
I use fast response and either 100 or 110, depending on how live the room is...
