It is much strange one that a B&S has these problems of intonation. It is your instrument F or Bb? I possess a B&S F with 6 valves and the only problem for the intonation is caused from the emission of the air. Tuba the B&S F (" German " sound) cannot be played like one tuba in C or Bb.: this emission must be necessarily slow and warm in order to avoid the " return " and to modify the intonation.
Still a question: the problem regards single body or some slides?
