A competent repair technician should be able to help you. The new Kalisons (2001 CC & F) have a 2-position stop on the 1st valve slide, so yes they do exist. But it's not something that you could put on yourself. I'm sure some others out there have makeshift solutions.

The one that I can think of is to use an o-ring on the slide to mark the "in" position. The disadvantage is that it can move. You could use a string (or something similar) to mark the "out" position by tying one end aroung the bend in the slide, and the other end to a brace or something and leaving the right amount of slack so that when the string is tight, the slide is where it needs to be. Again, the disadvantage is that the string can move.

Good luck

Steve
