I have a couple of old beat up 7B's also, and they are a little smaller than newer ones. My guess is you like the the feel of the smaller inside diameter and the narrow rim, but you like sound of the Schilke 67 because it's a little deeper cup, but the rim on it is too wide for you. A very common situation, because not everyone has a big enough face to accomodate a large rim, especially with a wide contour. You need a small diameter narrow rim with a fairly deep cup. In my system the rim would be a narrow 126 (not listed in my catalog, but I'll make it) with a P cup (similar to the 7B) with a P5M shank, or maybe an R cup (similar to the regular Helleberg depth), with an R5M shank. I can make different styles on narrow rims- think about whether you prefer a flat rim like some Hellebergs have, or rounder.
