I guess it really does depend on the horn. I have played alot of 2155s in the past few years and they don't even come close to the HB-2P in my posession. I play Orchestra, quintet and band venues large and small and have no problem with intonation and certainly no difficulty being heard. So, I guess they have to be considered in a case by case basis. My two cents worth.
