Nothing at all...Im just used to hearing (and telling!) plenty of jokes about Jersey, thought it might be another one. Not a big deal...you're right about the local laws,, and for the most part Jersey is far less compact than Manhattan...although Hudson County (Jersey City, Kearney, Hoboken, etc [my home town being among the etc.]) is actually the most densely populated area in the US....at least last I heard it was.
