I am looking to buy a York, USA Line, tuba from a local retail store. But it does not have a mouthpiece. I have tried a Conn-Helleberg with it; but it is too small and the tuba plays sharp; I have to pull out the tuning slide to within an 1/8th of an inch of the limit to get it near concert B flat. The inside diameter of the receiver is 15 mm or about 5/8 of an inch. Any suggestions on the right mouthpiece and where to get one? How 'bout a tuning bit? Mike.
