I haven't heard anything about a group in Herndon, but I will also give a plug for the Loudoun Symphonic Winds. I founded the group about nine years ago and it is currently lead by Gil Corella, tubist with the US Air Force Ceremonial Band. Gil is a fine musician and the group has always played very well for a community (or otherwise, for that matter) ensemble. It's well worth the extra 5 - 10 minute drive to Sterling.
