For what it is worth, I believe I have played this horn on a couple of occassions in college. I am almost certain the auction was posted by a colleague of mine that graduated from college this past May. (99.9999% positive) He is a wonderful musician, a fine tuba player, and an overall great guy.

This is what I can tell you about the horn...

Previous owner was a Juilliard student (that's what I remember)
Wonderful DARK sound
Very free blowing
Great low range
Free blowing 5th valve
Can produce a big sound
Very nimble (easy to articulate and play artistically)
Great all around horn

He let me borrow his horn when my 6/4 got in an accident and needed some repairs. I used it for a few concerts and rehearsals. It was a pleasure to perform on.

If I were in the market for a CC tuba I would jump ALL OVER this one. If you can get to New Jersey, try out this horn!!!! I am rather surprised he is selling this horn, however, I do know that he does have another horn.

My $0.02
