If she's a marching band tubist, than she's probably going to need a sousaphone. Unless she's going to play in an orchestra, she doesn't really need a Cc instrument. It's just more widely accepted int he shates. You can't make her want to play the tuba. She has to want to do it. Maybe she needs inspiration?? Let her see a really good performance by an orchestra, and see if that doesn't change things.
