In reality, I can hardly justify owning a BAT. My almost-5/4 York Master is a far better tuba, and wholly appropriate to my current playing situation. The desire for a 6/4 tuba is pure lust. I'll scratch the itch for the money required to get a big Conn.

Lots of folks can own Conns and get a taste of a really big horn. Not so many will be able to own the much rarer Martins or Holtons, and those instruments go for lots more money when they do become available.

I saw a BBb Holton go by earlier on this list, but I just wasn't in the position at the time to consider it, and despite it's good value it was still out of reach for my intended purpose. I suspect I'm not much different from a lot of folks who still enjoy their 20J's.
