ED, the Getzen is an excellent CC horn. Its also a good BBb. However, with such a horn you will be better off to learn the CC fingerings. The BBb 'side' is really just a flat whole step fifth valve, so technically any tuba with this setup can play either BBb or CC. However, the bore, and tubing is set up for CC pitches and harmonics (and whatever the technical terms are), and it thus sounds much better as a CC horn.
You cant go wrong with this horn though so learning CC will be worth the effort justto get to play this tuba.
