I've never tried my G50 as a BBb, but it is a great horn and would agree with the post that if you got one that you should just learn the CC fingerings.
If what you really want is a good BBb horn, what not get a new King 2341? One of the best playing horns out there, IMHO, and it's about 50-60% of the cost of a G50...
