The help that you can get on this BBS regarding a three-piece mouthpiece will be limited unless you supply a LOT more information about your playing habits, proficiency level, equipment used, etc. Even then, unless one of us can meet you and hear you play, diagnosing your various problems and figuring out what to blame on YOU and what to blame on your EQUIPMENT will be (at best) a WAG.

You really should talk to Doug personally. He designed these things and is a first rate diagnostician when it comes to matching a player, their instrument, and the interface between the two (the mouthpiece).

The best post ever on this BBS about working with Doug was written by Rick Denny some time back. It is titled with something about his trip to Doug's shop in Maryland and is quite informative. So search the archives.

Or (as I mentioned earlier) JUST CALL THE GUY!!

It will make your life easier.
