to replate or not to replate?

About a year ago I bought a Boosey Eb tuba off of ebay thinking that it would be a great horn to fix up and use as my solo/quintet tuba until I got the money for something better. After it arrived I soon remembered why I sold my Miraphone Eb tuba-I really can't stand the 3+1 setup. I kept it around anyway. But now I'm trying to decide if I should replate the valves and sell it, or just sell it as it is. It has a nice sound, but the valves are so bad I really can't tell what kind of intonation it would have. It also shouldn't cost that much to replate it; I'm at repair school so eventually I'll be able to take the valves off the horn myself and send it to Anderson's without having to pay someone else to do it. But my question is, is it worth it to replate the valves? Or should I just try to sell it on ebay?

Thanks in advance,
Scott
