I played a bassoon trio for a masters chamber recital. It worked out very well. Each part had flowing melodies as well as very technical passages. If you play it though, whoever is playing the 3rd part has to be able to play a c or Bb below the staff. But all in all, it worked out very nicely and we all had to play extra light to resemble the sound of a bassoon.
