Get one of those cheap plane tickets to Newark ($200) and a cheap motel room ("Dillon" rate - approx. $80) and look at some tubas in that price range.
Have it shipped to your home once you've picked it out...
...or the same drill applied to Baltimore Brass...
...or DRIVE to Woodwind/Brasswind.
