Hey, let's not publicly slam Maynard Ferguson, he's a good musician. And, in a song aptly named "Superbone meets the bad man", he plays the superbone, and sounds pretty good, not great, but good. (Just to add to this, at a concert, I saw him play what looked like a trumpet with a mini trombone-like slide on it.)
