Keith, I have similar problems, sometimes. I play in a symphonic band and am also a mature, trained BBb player. We read through a lot of music when trying to decide what to play for concerts. I am sometimes left in the dust, too because I am deaf. We sight read "The Cowboys," recently. There are a couple passages that left these old fingers tired and confused! I wouldn't trade it for the world.
