Mouthpieces have always had polished smooth surfaces on both the inside and the outside. I have a question about that. I read over and over again that moving air experiences less friction over surfaces that are not so highly polished and perhaps a little rough. Has anyone ever experimented with a mouthpiece that is a little rough on the inside?
