A close friend of mine, a H.S. band director, is arranging his fall half-time show 100% Disney. He says if he knew about the lengthy process, multiple forms, extraneous BS, fees, etc. before he committed himself, he wouldn't have done it. He started the first week of June, and the process is still ongoing. A Disney representative told him that Disney is probably the strictest entity from which to receive permission to use, arrange, perform, etc. their published works, and that it is not unusual for the process to take a while. The rep told him that they have prosecuted people who violated copyright laws regarding Disney products. I trust what he told me, and I don't doubt Disney is that way. Regardless if the rep was on the level, it just pays to follow the rules, numerous though they be.
