I am thinking about one of the JVC cd recorders that have a mic input. There are a couple of models out that have it. It is a deck, it is not portable, but seems nice. The price isn't extrememly high either, but I still have to pay for other musical applications now.
Maybe in the future I could look into one.
The Tascam seems nice too.
