I listened to tapes awhile back of applicants for a summer music festival. A high school senior sent Curnow as his audition. It was an "enthusiastic" rendition, but he literally missed half the notes. If he had listened hard to his completed tape, he never would have sent it, and would have chosen something that demonstrates his strengths.
