I assume you have seen the thread further down about recording. I am still preachin the wonders of protools. I think DAT is the best way to go. Analog sounds more alive and its easy to manipulate.You can turn out studio quality recordings with DAT, good mic,good acoustics,and ofcourse the digi-01.Those components are what make the difference.They are pricey though, so shop around for a used digi if you decide to go that route.
