I personally don't change mouthpieces to play extreme upper (or lower, for that matter) register. However, I do occasionally change mouthpieces to get a different tone color. For the brighter color that may be desired for the upper register playing in Berlioz I would opt for a mouthpiece with a rim similar to my "everyday" mouthpiece, but with a shallower cup. I am not sure what fits that bill in the PT line. Some examples of a somewhat wide/shallow mouthpiece include: Marcinkiewicz W1 or 2, Yamaha 67B4, Mike Finn MF4 (my current F tuba mouthpiece), and many other "F" tuba mouthpieces.

You should be able to play parts on CC just fine. It will be a great learning opportunity. Be sure to gradually build up to the range. If you spend too much time "up there" you will tire quickly and develop bad habits. I suggest a lot of singing the part before trying to play it. The key to the high register is training your ear.
