I actually ran into Brian Fredrickson for about an hour before the first rehearsal. What a great guy, you could run the world on his energy. I was REALLY busy the rest of the weekend with various other commitments and didn't have the chance to hunt him down for a beer or 7. Got a chance to play with two astounding musicians who happen to play the flute, Robert Aikens and Carol Wicenc. Sorry you couldn't make it up. I agree, the Riviera is not one of the more stellar properties here. Get this, we rehearsed and played in the main ballroom. During rehearsals, temperature 55, no kidding, night of the show, had to be 90. Ouch. Anyway, it was fun, but really wierd, there had to be about 3,000 flute palyers there. Talk about neurosis!!! Have a Lone Star for me.
