No disrespect intended to David in the least here.

In the Fletcher book, in the articles by the man himself, he states that had for many years used a 24AW on his Boosey Eb. To my knowledge he never played on a smaller horn for anything but a trial? If you're referring to another horn, I stand utterly corrected : )

Mr Fletcher's most famous of students, Patrick Harrild, also uses a 24AW as he was encouraged to do so by Mr Fletcher. He in turn encourages his pupils to give the 24AW a thorough testing in playing Boosey Eb's.

Nothing wrong with 22's of course; well worth a try as David says!
