Most(like the 186CC-5V, 188-5V) of the Miraphone CC rotary horns are known for great intonation and fine playing. Since you didn't specify any particular model, I'm assuming your son wants the 186. The good-easy to find, 50 years or more of the existence of the design, and the fine playing characteristics of these horns make them one of the preferred CC horns for students.
