My senior year in high school (last year)I played the Carnival of Venice on a King double bell. It actually works very well, both in the "call and response" variation (1st variation) and especially the last variation, with the large bell playing the melody and the small bell playing the accompaniment. My favorite use of the double bell is for jazz improvisation. It's really cool to have two distinct voices available to work with, not to mention the fact that the horn looks so darn interesting!
