I wanted to start playing again and picked up a Bestler euphonium. It served it's purpose for me; got me playing again without a huge investment, in case I didn't continue to play. These are mediocre at best. Listening to descriptions of others, I think I may have gotten one of the better ones (better being a VERY relative term). I found mine to be ok intonation wise, was a little stuffy, and needed a lot of maintenance in the beginning (polishing the valves and slides to keep them in good working order). It reached a point where it wasn't so in need of weekly polishing anymore. I have sense moved on to a Yamaha 642 and the difference is, of course, night and day. But, like I said, it served it's purpose for me. If you have any more specific questions, e-mail me and I'll answer as best I can.glad
