I put 10" wheels on my St Pete case. Not so much for the weight, but for easy of handling. The case may look a bit funny, but I can go up and down stairways (slowly,so as not to bounce) across streets, over curbs and rough parking lots with out too much trouble. That may or may not answer your question or solve your problem, but it works for me. I had to design and have the mounting brackets made to fit my case.
