According to the repairman, repairing rock nicks requires soldering brass into the nicks, sanding the rim down to its original contours, and then replating the mouthpiece. This, supposedly, would cost more than the mouthpiece, and the general cost(not an estimate) would be around $400. Why go to all the trouble when I can get a new mouthpiece that I like more?
