Actually, I said (or at least I meant, if I didn't say) that the fundamental
harmonic of a Bb tuba is the pedal Bb which is 6 leger lines below the staff,
and the next harmonic is the low Bb 2 lines and one space below the staff. Then
the next harmonic (up a fifth) is the F at the bottom of the staff. So, if
these are all half-wavelengths, then there are no quarter ones in between
(other than the possbile false tones) and if they are whole wavelengths, then
there are no halves. Sorry for the mix-up.
