Check out the Boss. (The rectangluar line with the plastic case. I think like a 12 or 14 U, mine is in my case.) They are about $75 and do great in the low range. I mean like down below the pedal G two octaves below the one on the bottom of the bass clef. They are realitivly sensitive with out being too picky about background noise (such as other people warming up). I got that and a good metronome for less than 100.
