Two notable tuba-euph events next week at MSU
Wednesday, December 8th
My quartet (as yet still unnamed; Free Beer is the winner so far) in recital
8:00 (AT) Music auditorium
My tuba euph quartet (Russell Branch, Liz Rakowski{subbing for Matt Maslanka}, myself, and Eric Knechtges) will be performing in a joint recital with some trombone quartets for a lollapalooza of bass clef fun!
We're performing the ITEC test piece Tuphonium (great piece, awful title), as well as some other favorites.
Thursday, Dec. 9th
MSU Philharmonic
7:30 (AT) Fairchild auditorium
Senior tubist Tony Bush is performing the Vaughn Williams concerto; Tony is a GREAT player that makes monkeys of us all on a regular basis. Oh yeah, and Mike Sauer and I are playing cheesy parts that betray our true ability....;)
Once again, if you come, I'm the stockier guy with the goatee and the slightly more tarnished Willson Eb tuba....:) Say HI!
